Sorry that Dan and I missed watching that, but that evening at dinner Jamie showed us the mud and grass stains on his shirt. Sounds like fun!

FSS #2 Saturday

Here’s my report from Saturday FSS #2:
Saturday started with rain, low clouds and a cold North wind. Conditions were bad enough to require our CD to hold until 12:15PM. After several rainy interruptions, we called the contest after the fourth round. We considered ourselves lucky to pull that many rounds.
When the dust cleared (or the rain?) here were the scores:

Novice 1st Noah Myers, Novice 2nd Chuck Stascek

Expert 1st John Graves, Expert 2nd Dan Johns, Expert 3rd Paul Mittendorff

Master 1st Dillon Graves, Master 2nd Jeff Duvall, Master 3rd Jody Miller

Thanks for the photos! They look incredible! Can't wait to see the ones from Sunday!
( must admit this was a very difficult contest, but I learned a whole lot out of it. It seemed easier to stay aloft in the shabby Saturday conditions compared to Sunday good lift but sink all around. I found myself a couple of rounds in the comfort zone only to end up the last minute or two scratching for lift. Had a couple of good rounds but Saturday, some of us did the walk of shame. Part of the fun, right!
Looking forward to next FSS. Thanks Kenny for leeting us use your wonderful field and the Pompano gang for hosting the event. Of course Raed, thanks for the equipment and putting up as team mate with me the entire weekend. Had great fun!

FSS# 2 Sunday Report

Sunday was a complete turnabout. Bright, warm, with light winds. We threw away our jackets and ponchos and easily pulled 7 rounds. Equipment worked perfectly (thank you Raed!). ALES and TD planes flew together with no conflicts (I heard no complaints from either camp). To cap the day off, we had a Bald Eagle join up and later a couple of Kites.

Novice 1st Noah Myers, Novice 2nd Chuck Stascek

Expert 1st Ray Alonzo, Expert 2nd John Graves, Expert 3rd Dan johns

Master 1st Dillon Graves, Master 2nd Judy Miller, Master 3rd Jeff Duvall
