The end points aren't governed by the radio.

The control box senses the current spike when the retracts encounter resistance such as uplock/downlock & shut off the current.

If the retracts are stopping @ less than full extend or retract there is a bind someplace.

You are using the orange control box right?

I've always been partial to the Bob Holman 190, myself. Mine is a D series, but he has the A series, too.

These all look great guys! I have a quick question about a small, but IMO, important scale detail. For the guys that have built these and left them as the A3 model they're based on, have you changed out the moveable cooling fins just rear of the cowl, for the cooling slots that were standard from the A0 to the A3? I know that's probably going overboard on detail, but felt I'd ask anyway. Again, some absolutely great builds here!

I don't know why they didn't make the nose 1 1/4" longer to mimic the A-5. It would have helped the CG issues some.

I'm making that modification to mine to facilitate the mounting of a Saito FA-512R3 CDI that will have a 12mm carburetor W/a "V" stack. It was either extend the nose or move e firewall back. Extending the nose made more sense to me.

If you are planning in using those flex pipes, make sure they are clamped & secured near the ends. No more than about 2X the diameter or they will quickly "auto trim" themselves to length.

The flex pipes will only be used until I get my hands on the Keleo exhaust ring. Just couldn't wait for that to fire it up. Love the sound of this engine even with the flex tubes. Can't wait to get the ring. Audio from videos just does not do these engines justice.
