or just cut them off every few months and add new ones. mine have a vertical spar.

yeah I think you are right I will just cut them off if they need to be replaced.

They should last a while now that I'm starting to make much better landings

I'm already kind of heavy so I don't want to add any extra weight.

I will finally be mounting my LRS into the Z2 and tomorrow and will finally be able to get some good air time.

I haven't weighed it yet - but what is the average? Mine is running 2x3300 3S

i run 2x 4s 3000 these days, i used to run 4x 3s 3300. (as 6s 6600) at 2.7kg.

as long as you are under 3kg you will handlaunch it ok, as long as you know what you are doing

Thanks man. I have flown it already! Took 2 failed launches, but then got it nailed. Flies nice too!! Once you get the technique, it basically flies out of your hand.

Soon - Ruby will take of it all.

I just had to stay close - But will have the LRS in tomorrow. I will have to weigh it and see where I am at.

Heres some pics of my ZII build .. need to cut out battery bays and put skids on.

Those of you with the Mini Z.
If you are following my set up.
Make sure you get the motor as close to the fuse as possible.
If not you will find your CG off by an 1/2 inch!
I posted the two pictures below to show how mine is mounted!
Also I did use the Gobrushless.com motor mount.

I had to drill it out and then shave mill off about .25 of an inch.
So the lenght is now .75 inch long.


Also the motor I am using can be runn on a 7x3 prop on 3S 1800.

But it has to be a High C setup. I got 325 watts running one. The motor got pretty warm. But not hot! Check your setup first before you go and bun it up!
Running a 6X4 Apc pusher prop got me 235 watts.
I was able to fly for 12 mins on a 1800 and mostly 3/4 to wot!
As with the 7 X 3 i only could fly for 8-9mins!

For you guys with bent, permanently attached winglets just glue another layer of coroplast to your existing winglets(trim to shape), works like a charm.
