RMRC Waffle Bits Unboxed

I recently purchased a RMRC Waffle Bits Box and I tore it open last night to see what I got. I am a super noob with FPV and Quads so please help me decipher the gold from the copper.

Contents:
* RMRC Assorted Stickers Pack
* 2 X Front Dampening Kit (What are these?)
* Some type of SkyZone goggles with some adhesive foam stuck to the top. - No idea what model these are or if they work. Fingers crossed.
* A bunch of random cables - No idea what these are for
* Some type of AV Splitter?
* A 2.4G 200mW Video transmitter I think?
* 2 Antennas of some kind
* A bunch of 90 degree bend board connector things.
* A Large FPVFest T-Shirt.

Clearly I have little-to-no idea of what I'm looking at. If you can provide me some insights as to what things are that would be awesome!

Thanks, Corey!

As I posted on the FB page, you look like you got a sweet deal, if the goggles work and you don't have anything you just got yourself a used (abused?) pair of skyzone goggles that usually run for ~$350-400.

The transmitter however is a 2.4ghz frequency which may not work for you unless you fly uhf 433mhz etc; as radios are typically frequency hopping on 2.4ghz. I haven't ready anybody really doing video + transmitter on 2.4ghz and having good results (or long range).

But for $39.99 + shipping, you made out pretty well! My package is out for delivery so I'll crack it open later tonight and post my items
Hope it isn't another pair of Skyzones, as I already have a pair Maybe Dominators HD2? hmm...

Are the SkyZone Goggles & The FatShark Attitudes V2 interchangeable? I am not familiar with what how nicely goggles & video transmitters of different brand/type play together.

I ask b/c I recently bought these: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...oducts_id=4028

As well as this: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...oducts_id=4745

The mudskipper comes with a RMRC Cricket 200mw 5.8GHz transmitter, and Video Aerial Systems Race Spec Antenna. Will either of the antennas pictured connect with that?

It depends on the channels, the skyzones cover 32. Check their specs (google) to see if they overlap w the cricket vTX, that's really all there is to it. Otherwise it is a 5.8ghz vtx/rx combo.

The Skyzones are better IMHO over the fatsharks you linked. Higher resolution plus diversity (dual antennas). I love mine.

What's the goal of dual antennas? Do you orient them differently, use 2 totally different antennas, or just having 2 spaced out 4" makes a difference?

Any idea how to tell what Antennas that came in the box?

The one states Fat Shark 1G3 which I think is this.

But the other is unlabeled. Any ideas?

diversity.

the smaller antenna might be 5.8 ghz. try it on the googles and see how it works.

I got my waffle kit today too! I however got a bunch of 1150 props (that I'll never use) 1 dji 10" prop, random vibration dampening things, an XL shirt (too big) and the Boscam GS920 640x480 goggles.

Not bad for $40!

Got my Waffle Kit the other day!

Very happy with it. FY-31AP controller. Skylark OSD (with RTH and circle functions I think) A hammerhead Nano quad with 4 missing pieces (luckily I have a 3d printer) and a Version 1 OSD among other things.. Well worth the $50 including shipping.
