Help!
Sig Somethin Extra

I have one of the older Somethin Extra ARFs someone gave me.
It's basically new, never been flown.
It's missing the wing joiner tube.
Sig doesn't have any more of them, they can't give me a diameter (they did know it was 15 1/4" long).

This is a pretty nice model I'd like to hang an outrunner on it and see how I like it.
Anybody have any bright ideas?
Thanks

if you can measure the Inside diameter of the wing tube and come up with a size, check the local hard ware store or ask around here to see if any one has any the save from an unlikely event of crashing. peace on!

Well if you have a vernier caliper you can easily measure the inner diameter.

Then I have two ideas.

1) Carbon fiber rods are available in almost all diameter sizes and you can chop them up according to your required length.

2) Take an aluminium heli boom and chop that up.

You will have one or two spares as well

Hope this helped
