??Sealing Monocote trim ???

Does anyone have a good way to fuelproof & seal a Monocote trim scheme other than glueing the edges?? Can you use Polyurethane clearcoat over Monocote or does that make a mess of things?
All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

I have used water based P.U. on the edges of Monocote and other plastics with good results. After shrinking and sealing the completed covering very well, I clean the surface and apply the P.U. with a small paint brush or cotton swab. Edges only except for very small areas that get covered complety for simplicity. Two light coats. Apply thin to avoid runs. Milky when applied, clear when dry.

Thanks. I didn't know if it would adhere well or just peel off taking stripes with it. I was thinking of the spray, but it makes more sense your way with the liquid form.
