Very nice. Looks stable enough for a vertical takeoff and landing to me.

Here is a video of Mini-Mollie II all very close to her final PID settings. She needs a few more points adjustment to the Pitch axis, the Roll axis is pretty solid at this point.

Mini-Mollie2 Battery Readjustment (3 min 25 sec)

After recapping the items learned from this build, it is a total success with the exception of the duct fan. Weight Shifting and the usage of high KV Motors 1700.

Looks very stable. Great job.

Do you use level mode on the roll axis at all? I'm hoping to use some when I switch to (2.2).

Yes, in fact, the ACC (Angle Mode) is on full time. With a bicopter, it is possible to fly gyro only as you have experienced however, I find it so much easier flying with the ACC enabled.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to getting some 2.2 accel on roll. Had to disable the roll accel with (1.7).

Yes, 1.7 was not very good especially if the Numchuk was used.

ive bought the RC-timer motors you advised, and as you have said -- your not having problems with High KsubV motors, im hopeful. these motors do appear better than the DT750's. (haven't made flights though yet, just ground testing)

ive nearly completed the first hot-wire cutter, and developed a new carbon-Styrofoam duct fabrication method, I'll post stuff later. (and think youll be impressed. )

Rimshot, as for your success with mass-vectoring, how much in total would the battery travel ? did you find dimensional limits? ("like moving to far fore or aft got scary?")

Yea, Mini-Mollie uses 1300KV motors, the VTOL, Black Mollie and both Sweptback copters uses 900KV and the newest Mollie version II uses 1700KV. The 750KV motors (I have six) are on the self collecting dust.

As for the WEIGHT SHIFTING, you just have to use trial and error because the VTOL only requires a very small movement where as Mollie II requires more.

I suppose well call it weight shifting since you invented it...

Call it what you like, it will not be the first time I came up with an idea and others took credit for it.

Have a good day.

Well, I think I have just been inspired to continue this build.
