The Greg Stewart thread is good. Also search for a Colibri conversion thread in this forum.
There isn't a ton of S8E contests nor a ton of information on models. This is a small hobby that is a conversion point of people interested in competition model rockets and RC sailplanes. There are maybe 2 dozen people in the USA that are actively doing this stuff. Honestly your best bet is to just post questions and give information on what you are currently flying and what you are interested in trying out. Not having background on a person's current skill set, what you can build, what you want to build, etc. we can't really give a lot of advice. Ryan |

I only managed to take 2 quick videos during the S8 rounds. As the new guy on the team I was helping out everywhere I could.

Seemed to me that the RSO was pretty lenient on the boost angle, but he was very consistent through all the rounds which was good. You really had to blow a boost like the one in the early part of your video. kj |

It is a single use E6 type motor with a typical phenolic case. Apogee used to or maybe still sells a similar single use e6 made by areotech.

We had beautiful weather in oregon this weekend for our launch near Sheridan Oregon. I was able to bring out a literal van load of rocket gliders and here are some great photos by Gary Goncher...These are all 72-80" long and depron based. AUW ranges from 24 ounces for the interceptor with G-12, 38 ounces for the Bomarc on a G-33, and 36 ounces for the X-15 on a G-40.
