EDIT:
I got an answer from the customer service.
Actually Li-pos can't be sent by USPS so my PVR58 has been stuck in China for 2 weeks...

Well, I finally received mine yesterday and got the opportunity to try it out this afternoon.

For now, I'm very disappointed!

The video range is terrible. With the same antennae (Fatshark Spironet) the PVR58 loses totally the signal after 800 meters whereas my Attitude SD's receiver has a perfect video image.

Is there any changes that can improve the range?

Seems simple, but are you using the correct antenna adapter? SMB to SMA ?

Hi , What 's your transmitter ? or you can consider change to a pannel antenna to increase the distance at one particular direction .

@greedyg: Yes I have the SMB to SMA connector sold by Foxtech as accessory. Then I use a SMA male to SMA female 90 adapter to which I connect the spironet antenna.

@foxtechtech: I use a 250mW with a spironet antenna but the problem is that I was flying with my attitude SD and a friend was checking the PVR58 and during that whole flight that you can see below I have always had an excellent image in my goggles. Whereas the PVR58 had troubles at 500 meters an no signal around 800 meters...

Foxtech PVR-58 5.8G 8CH DVR(For Fatshark VTX) | Range test (13 min 56 sec)

EDIT:

I tried the PVR58 again this morning.

The range was still bad at another spot. I don't how you guys got 5 hours while recording. With mine the battery is empty in less than 2 hours...
