well...i did it....got the gears made,just put 3 hard runs on the new harder gears.
but my trim servo went out....damn the bad luck! |

thanx kmot...its a pretty simple build,coulda done it without a lathe to make some parts...but it came out neater this way.

When I looked through this thread, I didn't see any pics on where you connected the power trim to the motor. Where did you connect the power trim to the motor?

the power trim isnt conecter to the motor....thats whats so nice about it.allows me to keep it clean and compact on the motor.

I've made a power tilt, for my EP1 ,but I went a whole different way about it. I used a arm, fitted to the hinged motor mount, and operated by a small gearbox/motor assembly, pulling on a fine wire rope( fishing tracer line) manually operated from a simple switch. I have thought about radio controling it, but done nothing on that front so far.
Ive tried to upload the video of the tilt in action, but cant get it to upload here. |
