Mini-Review
Koichi's Micro Glider

I bought this model as soon as Koichi had it instock on his shop. I bought the kit which is $29 USD, this includes airframe, tiny velcro, 6mm motor and prop. There is a version which includes almost everything for $73 USD but its infra red so first you would need a ir tx and its difficult to fly outside which is where I do most of my flying. The model can be bought from here: http://indoor-airplane-world.com/ Just click on where it says international order then download the excel file. Fill it out and put your name and paypal address at the bottom then email it to the email address at the top of the file. Koichi will respond very quickly to your order and dispatches quickly too.

The model is easily assembled in an hour and I used UHU POR and UHU Creativ which works very well. I decided to go the Plantraco route so that I could fly outside and enjoy those summer evenings weaving the model in and out of the trees. I used a Plantraco 2 channel butterfly rx and soldered a bahoma connector to my 30mah Full River cell.

The model flies very nice and is very stable. It ios most fun in dead calm conditions and is awesome when you find a thermal. The 6mm 4.5ohm motor which comes with the model supplies ample power and you wouldnt want any more.

I had two differences on my model, firstly I used a cox prop which can be purchased from BSDmicrorc.com. The prop which comes with the model has to be cut to size and because of this mine became unbalanced which resulted in vibration and noise. The second thing was I used a homemade coil but I would really suggest the Plantraco in-hinge, or Didel actuator.

In conclusion its a great model and is EXTREMELY well made and the moulding is of a very high standard. I really do feel like Thomas Crown when I fly it! Thanks Koichi, nice one.

I havnt tried the props you listed on this model but all of them will fly it no problem. I hope this will encourage people to buy from Koichi's site because its really good service and the quality is always very good.

termite,

we did ours this morning and he responded.

hummmm, did you download the excel file and fill in the blanks? Did you do the total? Did you include your name and address and then attach the excel doc to the email address at the top of the form? Did you make it clear in the subject line and description you are ordering?

I'm not saying your dumb but sometimes the obvious gets over looked.

Then, he should respond unless he is out of stock on something, maybe.

Very cool!

Do you think it would work with the regular Hinge-act instead of the other type.

ok.

It appears he charges $10.00 for shipping flat.

You have to use a translator like the one google has.

http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&referrer=ign_n

This is what I use: http://www.google.com/translate_t

Just type in the website.

And yes in the Excel doc you can click on each item name and it will link back to the site to show a picture.
