MCX Tank Buster - A10 Tuffoam Conversion
Picked up a batch of mcxs from ebayhobbemart, good news 4 out of 5 bricks function perfect
and saw this auction full of Tank Busters so I had to have em!Good News: A10 is a super easy conversion, save maybe 8 grams from stock, keep cg and plane flies very nice with mcx brick. Bad News: Diff thrust turning is on throttle stick, which kinda messes with throttle when turning, how do I switch diff thrust to right stick on my dx7? Here are some picks, flies better then stock with weight savings, I use 180 Hyperions, still wont loop or roll but nice climb and decent control 2ch way up high

That P-38 should be 2S, so it may need more than just a brick to fly it.
For the A-10, you should run an Elevator Pushrod back from the brick. It would only add about 3g to have a working elevator. To Move the Differential thrust to the right stick, You need to mix Rudder > Rudder -100%/-100%. This will kill the left stick input. Mix Aileron>Rudder 100%/100% to get the right stick to control differential thrust. |

doesn't fly as well as the original unmodded itc starscream (shout out to Lee) wont turn as sharp or glide as well. think its couple grams nose heavy - champ brick seems underpowered thinking on switching out with 6400. BL vrc might be fun but smallish airframe

Yeah BL would be neat - I think they might be a bit heavy for size though.

this is not the airhogs A10, it is the rarely seen Guillows Tuffoam A10, little smaller very lite airframe. for sale random online hobby shops and HorizonHobby (though way to expensive @ 59$ for crappy 2ch) you want excellent 2ch go ITC on convert to dsm2
I use the Tri-Turboprop ala Plantraco, commonsencerc not sure which gws is comparable to the TT prop but it works very well if not a little fragile |

elevator is exactly what this plane needs - it noses up porpoises way too much - need either bigger 1s lipo for weight or throttle+down ele mix |
