D_fast,
I just came across your posting tonight. I will be going to the Jefco meeting tomorrow night. Do you attend club meetings? I am sure the guys would like to see your F-106 at "show and tell" some time. I fly at Chatfield and Cherry Creek too.

Just ordered a CS 90mm 12b fan today so im getting ready. Also stocking up on fiberglass .5 oz cloth
I don't think the CS90 12 blade will last longer than a few seconds with a 12 S setup . If you want to go fast I think you need a jetfan 90 or similar quality . The CS has 12 seperate blades which just won't hold together with higher powered setups .

Sid and D_Fast:

Thanks for the links to the Jefco and Cherry Creek sites. Used to fly at both back in the early to mid 1990's. Was a member of Jefco for a long time until I moved from Colorado to Texas. Wonderful time of my life. Looked at the list of officers and some seem to be familiar names but many are new to me.

Anyway, thanks for the links.

Some of the DF flyers are still flying at Chatfield now but mostly electrics such as Ed Munoz, Dean Lassek. I am probably the oldest guy flying at either field. My son Brian lives in Arllington, Tx. and flies jets there and at Waco. Brian learned to fly model at Cherry Creek and full scale a couple miles south at Centennial Airport. I don't know who D-Fast is but hope to talk sometime.

Sid:

Thanks for the reply. I must have missed it when you posted. Yeah, Dean and a few others and I built the big glow ducted fan A-10's and Ed and I had some of the old Top Gun F-15's. IF you see them please tell them that Ed Valls says hi.

D-FAST,, getting in here real late but early in thread you said you used poster board for the templates for sections. I'm guessing you have to watch the wire temp real close or wouldn't you burn the template ?
Thanks

I think that if you soak the edges in a thin CA they hold up fine!

i dont really have a problem with burning.
None of my bows are longer then 6 in" therefor i can cut on 3-6 amps

Now if you intended on using them more then 3 times, CA around the edges is a great idea, as the board will tend to delaminate over time, from removing and replacing add pressure when cutting around them.

Ok so I have this servo tester and nichrome wire that has been sitting around waiting to be made into a hotwire bow. All I should need to do is have a brushed esc providing power to the servo tester and then the hotwire wires soldered to the motor leads with a 2s battery providing power right?
