Haha, true. I just love how simple and durable they are. For FPV they are great, and for LOS they are just as fun to fly. And slope soar, especially out here where landing zones are limited, and many times the plane may end up in the brush!

In the future I plan to build many more

Yesterday early evening I didn't perform a good hand launch and the wing pancaked in on hard Asphalt surface such that the propeller took the hit (Damaged).

This morning at my RC Club, I replaced the APC "Glow" 6 X 4 and it flew delightfully.

Pitt: have you used the Mega in actual combat?? Wonder about inrunners when they get smacked??

Yes, the motor has never taken a direct hit.

That motor has 10+ years service life and still runs great.

With the propeller shown and 3-Cell, 3300mAH, 40C discharge Lithium Polymer the propeller RPMs measured at 17,348 RPMs.

It is scary!

Thanks, have a couple of used Megas, shaft size with a combat hit has been a concern. May just have to try. Looks like yours did fine with a whack to prop. Have actually had a couple 4mm shafts break on outrunners.
