Teething problems happen with any relatively new release, which version of the skywalker are they one now? :P. I'm not too bothered TBH as the airframe isn't massively expensive and thanks to its structure there was little equiptment damage. Got a new one on its way, and a fair bit if carbon and balsa to go in it to reinforce the old girl. I'm that happy with it as an airframe I'm willing to give it another chance :P. let's see what happens.

Nice catch, only checked there the other day too while getting some new props.

So the saga continues: Before i explain my latest woes I'll say now that i'm gonna go back to just camera and VTx for the time being before my frustration takes a hold.

So... even Sander thinks my EzOSD is busted and that means shelving the Ez gear for the time being, shame as all the rest was working well i just didn't have video. Not a big deal as i have the Hornet and the FY31AP still to try out. Fitted them all and also the EzUHF. On start up all seems well, YAY. Wrong, after being powered up for a while the whole thing goes mental, servos all go crazy and all the LED's 'flashing' like crazy in time with the servos. The only thing that stops it is to pull the plug. This happened every time i powered up but took about three minutes before it happened. On the last time i figured i'd leave it a bit and see if it settles but all it did was eventuality push all the servos to their max range and by the time i unplugged there was a distanced burning smell. I don't know if it was the Tx, Rx or FY31 that was causing the spazz attack so i'm gonna have to work through it all. The EzUHF Tx was the only thing i had time to check last night and what i found was scary, the SMA connector was lose on the board like wise the 'S-Video' PPM/Power connector, both needed resoldering to the board. This fixed an intermittent beep i had from the Tx but didn't fix the spazz attack. Tonight i'll remove the FY31 and Hornet leaving only the EzUHF Rx as the new component. Happy days.

Just thinking, Its really frustrating to split the halves of the ES2 every time i wanna change the electronics. I like the plane though and will keep it. But in the mean time while I'm playing with different setups i could do with a plane with a nice easily accessible fuse. When the X8 arrives i'll have plenty off access but thats ages away. So....

Who has a Skywalker they want to sell me??? Come on, one of you must have one (that airworthy!) that your not using. Own up, its pay day and i won't have spare cash for long ;-)

I could be persuaded to part with my Skywalker. - Have been concentrating on multirotor stuff recently, so it is not getting used.

highviz, I don't want to have to 'persuade', i'd like a 'willing participant' in a sale ;-)

Any details? Price? I'd ideally like the airframe with power train, i'd use my own FPV and radio gear. Also where are you? Take it to PM if you want.

I have a Twinstar 2 I no longer use. It used to belong to RCMonster. It's seen some wear and glue, but it flies wonderfully.

It has both motors, ESCs and servos.

You can have it for free if you're interested in something other than the Skywalker. You'd need to pick it up though

Oh and Wayne, should it tickle your fancy. The antenna tracker comes with a pretty good OSD, you don't have to have it tracking from the word go but the OSD is nice, and the extension board I've got does things like rssi, amp draw, total mAh consumption etc... And their pretty small units.

If Wayne is not interested in this, I would be, and I would be happy to pay you something for it 2, as I've always fancied a Twinstar!

As Wayno has passed, it's all yours for the picking up. PM me and we can discuss it.
