Need new idea for attaching LED strips
I'm building a profile foamie strictly for night flying out of 9mm EPP. I want to attach continuous LED strips along the edges of the wings and fuse, actually outlining the plane. I want the LED side of the strips facing in so they light up the foam. I've done it in the past but haven't found a method of attaching the LED strips that I like.
I don't want to glue the faces of the strips to the foam, and many kinds of tape don't stick well to the EPP. Clear packing tape worked OK on my old Foamenator (below) and that tape works well with Depron but it was ugly in daylight. I'd love to find some kind of thin flexible U-shaped channel that would grip the EPP foam well enough to capture the strips but am looking for any slick idea.
So what better place to find great ideas than this forum? What would you you folks do?
