Welcome to the forum. Your gyro looks good. Tell us more about it. I see fuel in the tank. Does that mean it has been flying? Would like to know more about the head. Just tell us all about it.

Hi Jimmy. I'm still working on it. It's my own design,of course looking others gyros around. I'm so existing to see this thing flying. I do flying pretty good helis , but never before a gyro. I ready try two time with no luck. First, it was completely out of balance, and I think the rotor head on the second try was too tilt back. Now I ready fix it, and just ready to try again. If you know about gyros well , I'll thanks if you give me some better ideas or if you see something wrong with it , let me know. I'll be so glad to receive better ideas and comments.

Emy Gyrocopter prototype

Hi emilsonr, welcome to the forum. I admire your effort to create an own design gyro. I am sure one of the top gyro guys will be along to offer advice shortly. I am not qualified to offer advice on the build or design but I can offer advice on flying Gyros.

I would advise you to get some stick time with a cheaper and proven gyro before trying your own. Experienced fixed and rotary wing pilots all struggle with the skills needed to fly a gyro, especially pushers.

A good first gyro would be something like the whippet, or burkey, then progress to maybe an RPG pusher.

Can we have some more pictures of your design please? Blade profile, length and width, hang angle weight of model, etc

Don't rush and ruin your own design.

Nice work. With your skills you can build anything. Look up one of the trainers and build one. The whippit is good and so is the cranefly. Both are easy to build and will take a lot of abuse. There are others these to come to mind. Be ready to crash some. We all do. I crashed my whippit 2 times today. Only had to fire up the glue gun for one. Broke the rudder.
Read all you can on this forum. Everything you will need to know is here. Everything I have learned about these wonderfull flying machines I found here. With the information these guys have given us I have built 4 gyrocopters and they fly. Just remember, you will crash learning to fly gyrocopters. Build one that is cheap and easy to build and repair. Don't be afraid to crash it. Beat it till it wont fly then build another.
Good luck.
Jimmy

Hi Chad, that looks really efficient. Is that a really expensive CNC machine or something that is affordable for the hobbyist?
