if the nose of your plane happens to be too short, you could make a box that slides into the existing nose, to extend it, and mount the motor further away, balancing the plane as you need. You should test the CG with all the electronics, servos, battery, and move the motor and battery until you are satisfied with the result. Then Glue the "telescopic" motor mount box wherever it needs to be..
