New Product
Neu F5J motor

Howdy,

We have been working with my friend Steve for some time on this motor.
And now it is finally a reality. Some saw this at our AMA booth, now we are getting production motors. We have been very pleased with the reports from the first batch that is out there!

Best,
Bob

Looks nice, a little more information would help. Shaft size, max amps, recommend prop size, calculated thrust.

The link has some info.
It's a 2Y motor with a 6.7:1 gearbox, 6mm shaft, runs on 3S lipos. Looks like a killer motor from Steve.

Local competition for the Powerline 1025 motor perhaps.

I have one of these motors and am installing it in an Espire..The motor spins a 16 inch prop and uses a 3S pack with a 50 amp speed control...Powered this way we are looking at 450 watts.. The shaft is a very tough 6mm. Comparing it to the Hacker A20 10 pole motor it is 40 grams lighter..I am considering how to arrange things in the fuselage now.. This could be an exceptional F5J style motor with wide application from very small to 4M models...
I will post pictures of my installation shortly.

I was looking at the Powerline 1025 for a 4m Euphoria I have on order, But this one looks like a possibility also. I do not have it yet and hopefully get it out of Ukraine next month. Anyway my question is where you guys get the 30 to 40mm spinners for 8mm blade root and 6mm shaft like this motor requires.
Thanks
Dan

Well it will have an advantage of an inrunner not needing to have the motor wires dodge the outrunners moving case. Knowing Steve's motors it is good for more than the rated values.

It is interesting that I paid 275 for F5F B40 Hacker motor new, and this only 25 less, looks like F5J motors over LMR motors has not changed much in terms of price.

Really like the shaft size. Should J land just fine, buy props by the handful or carbon only.

The Best
Robert

We got the spinners here you need, and anything else you may need also.

500w, that's ok for a 2.5kg, 4M F5J plane. But this is not enough if you need to ballast it over this makimum weight.
So Caution in windy condithion (over 7m/s wind).
However, the inruner solution is realy interesting.

Marc,
Thanks for your comments. I have the Hacker for those conditions and will have ballast in the heavier model. But for the ultra light way F5J style we have seen inEuropean contest this motor should be superb. The shaft is as tough as I have seen...No need for holding back in the landing circle...LJ
