Usually you rotate the shaft by hand and count the 'notches' as it passes the magnets.
If its to set the ESC timing, some inrunners have a low number, whereas most outrunners are a high number. If you want more information on brushless motors, there is a very good forum here called Electric Motor Design and Construction And welcome to RCGroups. |
