I had seen a ad at the top of the Forums pop up, for RC props.
I clicked on it and it took me to a place called "By China", which sells lots of stuff.
I requested some info in the props listed.
When I got back an answer my computer is now locked up with a virus.
Beware

If you got this from an RC Groups ad, you need to inform the admin in site suggestions and complaints, or even site chat. They've had bad website links before.

has messed up my main computer, big time.
The Anti-virus isn't even doing anything, and it won't let me do a Restore.

Btdt. Boot up in safe mode and run malwarebytes.

Yes, tried that and more.
I get something like "Maleware GFI" unable and shut down.
Never seen one like this.
Still trying thought. But, I think I will have to Format and reinstall everything. Will loose bunch of pics though.

Sorry to hear. You may need a second clean computer and a usb thump drive. This is what I had to do a few years past when I was infected with a Hostageware.
On the second clean computer, I went looking for info, downloaded Malwarebytes and some others, loaded on the thumb drive.
Plugged the thumb drive in the infected computer and booted up clean in Safe Mode and ran from the clean thumb drive. I think it took about 6 hours.

Don't take some time and check out the advertisers links before you place their ads.....just put them up and cash the checks!

Download hijackthis and try to close/delete any process that is not needed. Then maybe you will be able to run your antivirus after that.

This is another thing that pisses me off about doing bizness with these shady Chinese bastids. Things had evolved to a point where I rarely got any spam e-mail.....but after registering with a few sites in order to buy something, over the last ohhh, 6-8 months? I'm getting 40-60 spam e-mails a day.....from pecker-pills to get china dolls to 'save my familys gold fortune' offers. These sleazy outfits are sellin' the he77 out of your e-mail contact info....it's like, 'Back To Spammer Old School 101' all over again.

Not sayin' they're all like that but, there's enuff of 'em to make your life miserable. You never know who's gonna pop you & about all I can say is, walk carefully. I've gotten to where if they don't let you check out as guest thru Paypal without registering? They can kiss my hairy can buh-bye!!

Yes thanks for all the input.
I run Adware on my computer, but suprising that didn't stop it. And Malwares didn't work eather.
Every time I tried to run the malware type of service I got a GFI Malware corrupt, Or something like that. (they really figured out how to work that one)
Tried some of the advice that was given here.
Loaded the Kaspersky Rescue disk, I was able to run it for 7 hours last night.
Then go into Safe mode and do an earlier restore.
Now running a anti virus.
Might have gotten this up and running.
Pisses me off, because I am careful NOT to click e-mails I don't ask for, and don't see Videos that people send me. (Worms anyone).
But to use a site like this one to try hack and steal info. Is the worst.

PS Kaspersky did find 2 Trogans.

If you are running Windows 7, the restore problem is a known issue with it, and has nothing to do with the virus. Do you get an error message when you try to restore? Does it say "not enough space on disc"?

Cool! Glad it is working for you. The Kaspersky Rescue Disk has helped me clean up the infected computers my friends bring me. Like you, I am very AR about what I click on and it does annoy me quite a bit when I get 'zinged' by my own actions. I am guilty of not following my own advice sometimes.

I have never had much luck with Malwarebytes, I know a lot of people like it but, it never seems to do much good for 'after the fact'. Usually too late then and I have to take drastic actions and use Kaspersky Rescue Disk.
