I'm surprised there wasn't an OpenScad option - that's what I use for any 3D work.

With conventional CAD, you draw something using your mouse or pad - but then you most often have to type on the keyboard to set the exact dimensions and/or position of the thing you've just drawn.

With OpenScad, you type the whole thing in on the keyboard in the form of a "program" - but you can still see a visual of what you're designing and zoom/move/rotate it using the mouse.

With CAD, how often do you have to 'explode' something multiple times in order to get down to, say, a hole that you want to change the diameter of - and then having done that you have to merge all the primitives back together to get the component you began with.

With OpenScad you just scroll to the line in your program where you set the diameter of the hole, edit it, job done.
