Ah come on that $800 was a freak thing. No one has even bid on the 2nd one yet.

yeah, it probably was a freak event ... but, I have no doubt that the other one doesn't sell and get relisted ... his asking price is high for the start of an auction and thus takes the joy out of bidding ... telling me, he really didn't want to sell it cheap and wants top dollar for the duralene kit.

I just dream for the day I can get one for a Benjamin

That's prolly closer to a fantasy than a dream I'd say.
Yes that auction was just too freaky.Even someone planning on making SR-7 copies wouldn't pay that much.
I actually feel the seller changed their mind about selling and had no other way to cancel the auction.
Then again, bidding and paying are two different things.
Skies.
Jay.
P.S. I wonder what a Bob Martin duralene trifecta would go for? You know, a Katie II,a Coyote, and an SR-7.
A couple Apple shares? An ounce of gold?

SR-7 Package

Looking through my basement I found some SR-7's that I was going to restore.... One is just needs to be fixed up re covered and the other is a fuse and a foam core...... The tailfeathers I was going to clone from the first...both are missinc canopies but thats an easy thing to do.... I think one is missing the belly pan but again...it can be cloned from the other.... The fuses are duralene.....

I'm offering them to EXPERIENCED BUILDERS

250.00 shipped for both....

Do you include a Kleenex pack if you decide to sale all that BTW the Wanderer Duralene fuselage is also the original fuselage for the Kattie

I think is really nice to have an original SR-7 kit but with some work anyone can have one (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...highlight=sr+7) like many people did it with planes more complex or unobtainable .......

I checked with Al,

...right after I received the set of wings Not ready to part with Duralene, yet. I may have to trade him a Duralene Jaguar or Wanderer/Katie II fuse for a SR-7

Thanks for the suggestion, Steve

Oh yeah, there were a few replacement Duralene fuselages for some popular woody kits, including the Pierce Paragon and the Airtronics Aquila, which are super rare.

Another EBay victim,

$425 plus $110 shipping from Pusan, South Korea?!?!? Yikes.

Time to hit Bob Martin up for selling the rights to the SR-7
