cost
Paint has gone to the roof, a quart of acrylic enamel is in the $40 range visavi $80 to 90 to 110 for the
urethane and if you need a professional color match other than mine the quart will set you back an additional $40 (without a formulation). The Restoration Shop enamel lays very flat provided the primer is properly applied and treated. |

Good deal on the repairs. I shoot PPG and Sherwin Williams urethane with really good results. The SW really lays down when you shoot it. But I have been thinking of switching to acrylic enamel because of the cost and being a little less toxic to shoot.
PM me about where you are getting your paint. Tri City did a lousy job paint matching when I went there, but the SW in escondido did well with matching urethane. I'd be interested in trying someone else because I have some RAL numbers that nobody can match because the european colors have lead in them. |

color match
Aaron - TCP has done very accurate work for me,
in addition they always are very cordial at the counter. Perhaps you are not getting the results you are after due to the primer ? Presently I am experimenting with tinting some of my color applications in an effort to save a bit of paint... it is not "rocket science" ! ![]() Alvaro "the paint & assistant plane doctor" (Ken Kaye is the official plane doctor) Quote:
