none of those spinners will fit the stock GC motors. the GC has those threads & nuts mounted to the shaft, which makes it impossible to use these spinners im going to be changing the motors out, thats why they're going to fit on mine. i "believe" i saw some somewhere that might fit the stock shafts, but dont remember where, "or if" i saw some. but ill see if i can find some.http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1759358 heres my build on the HK ys-11

So I can hit the ground running and without having to search the entire thread, I have a couple of set-up questions: 1). Is CG in the manual correct? If not? what do you recommend? 2) What are you programming for expos? If all goes well and the wind cooperates, I'll try to maiden this week. Would like to get her in the air by Wednesday as I have to travel Thurs-Sat.
If Callie's graphics arrive tomorrow I'll bring her to the club meeting Tuesday night. Thanks, Hawk |

I noticed Grayson Hobby recommends a slightly different measurement for the center of gravity than the manual. My main point is that if the CG is a little bit off........it is much better to be a little nose heavy than tail heavy. A nose heavy plane will fly....and a tail heavy plane will crash. You likely have learned this in your experience flying the T-28 and others. Best of luck and have fun with your beautiful grand cruiser 310! Mike |

Truthfully, I just put in a 2200 mAh 3 cell pack and called it good. I use 50% expo high and low on ailerons and elevator, and 80% low on rudder. I use a real high expo for ground handling so that on takeoff run, any sloppy thumb movements won't send the model tearing off the centerline.

i recieved my motors & spinners from HK today. these are the nicest spinners ive ever seen. the larger spinner in the back is a $35 eflite spinner. and the other 2 spinners cost $8 combined. the turnigy 35-36 1000kv is going to fit perfectly within the nacelle. ive also got counter rotating props for the GC. cant wait to see the difference with this setup.

Looks great. I have to get some ! Haven't even maidened mine yet and am already itching to upgrade. Did you also upgrade the esc's from the 30's? Figure you'll need to if you're thinking 4S.
Graphics came but I think there's been a disconnect on my part. I didn't describe what I wanted well enough. Not Caliie's fault . She provided quality decals . Just missed the mark. My own fault. So, I might just go with the Dynam graphics. I'll get her up in the air and since she's really intended for scale type flying, I won't push her too hard. |
