OVERVIEW

Used to be, if you wanted to experience FPV (First Person View) flight, you had to piece together a system yourself. Once you did, you then had to figure out how to make everything work together. The Spektrum™ VS1100 Ultra Micro FPV System eliminates all the guesswork by giving you everything you need in one box. Camera, headset, batteries, charger - it’s all there, all compatible and can be ready to go in minutes.

Spektrum VA1100 Ultra Micro FPV Camera
This amazing bit of Spektrum technology combines an FPV camera, transmitter and antenna in a single unit no bigger than a thimble. Installation is easy and can be done in seconds. No soldering or special skills are required. You simply attach it to your model and plug in a 1S battery (sold separately). A Y-harness connector is included if you want to eliminate the weight of a separate battery and power the camera with the same 1S flight battery that powers the aircraft.

- Signal range suitable for ultra micro aircraft
- Compatible with 5.8GHz Fat Shark headsets
- Requires 1S LiPo battery, sold separately
- Powered separately or by aircraft battery
- No 2.4GHz RC interference
- No FCC license required
- Installs in seconds

Wow sweet. The Ultra Micro FPV Camera and VTX looks pretty lightweight. Shame about the low resolution on the goggles though...

VTX+Camera only for $100, that's damn expensive compared to a TX5805 with lens D and a homemade cloverleaf antenna!

No this system is 249 with head tracking!!!!!!!! Hobbyking teleporter v3 without headtracking was $199. This is going to be the best starter FPV package.

Actually the goggles stand alone with head tracking are $249. Seems they will be $150 more than the complete Teleporter v3 but it does not have head tracking.

What does this mean? This thing allows head tracking without a pan/tilt mount? So FOV is altered by software rather than servos?

the transmitter is very low power, it does not require a HAM license. It has 7 channels on the standard Fatshark 5.8GHz frequency set. The range is perfectly suitable for Ultra Micro airplanes, it gets 150-300 feet or better with matched RHCP antennas (included), and the SPMVA1100 is the camera only for $99.99

You got it right! This headset (Teleporter V4) is able to offer the sensation of head tracking without moving the camera, and it also offers conventional trainer link based head tracking as well.

Could i use the head tracker from my Fat Shark Attitude SD v2's on this setup (I beleive its the Trinity head tracker)? Or only the ones that come with the package (Teleporter v4)?

The SPMVA1100 works great with the Attitude, but the digital head tracking is only available on the Teleporter V4. It actually is a concept that only works well on the low resolution headset. If we tried to do it with a higher resolution headset like your Attitude we would be cutting the resolution to make it happen.

So what is the resolution and field of view from the SPMVA1100?

How will the SPMVA1100 work with other goggles like Predator V2s?

My concerns center on this head tracking, and weather we will see the full picture with other goggles and display systems.

I am guessing that the camera and transmitter are sending out a full VGA video and the head tracking in the new goggles is panning the full image around rather than compressing it to display the full image in the lower resolution that they provide.
