Xflr and gap TE
I've bugged Tom enough.... Now, it's time to bug you guys!
So, I want to gap the training edge of my airfoil .02"
I see the gap function, but I don't understand what % cord to use.
Also, when I export the dat files and change the cord how is that going to scale correctly?

I've just been out of pocket Will. I replaced the heat pump / AC in my house and shop this weekend.
I always set the TE thickness in XFLR to be 1 / chord*.3mm (.011") for DLGs. It could probably be a bit thicker for TD stuff.
The thought is that you want all of your stations to scale up to a .3mm TE thickness. If you have a 200mm chord for example, you would have a TE thickness of 1/200*.3 in XFLR. When you import it to Rhino it will be dimensionless as a point cloud and the airfoil will be 1mm long. Scaling it times 200 to make the chord correct will scale the TE to exactly .3mm.
Clear enough? I know I shared the equation before but I didn't explain it fully.

Ok, for the follow up on XFLR and TE Gap.
The math needs to be as follows.
Desired T.E. Gap/ Wing Cord * 100
I used the default blending distance
