Hi Motipete,

Here are some links for the M.S. 230:

http://ibelgique.ifrance.com/aviher2/ms230web/ms230.htm (bottom page, links to many pictures)
http://ajbs.com/musee/museepagehtml/...230-Master.htm
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/herve.brun/Spotting/ms230.html
http://www.airwar.ru/enc/other1/ms230.html#camo

and a nice picture of it in flight (the one of La Ferté)

If nobody can give you a 3 views, you can still contact the french Air and Space Museum in Paris documentation center: musee.air@mae.org and be patient.

Regards, FLB

In electric version, I remembered that one, very light for indoor flights.

Morane-Saulnier MS 230
wingspan: 42.12" (107 cm)
weight: 10.58 oz (300 gr)
motor: GWS 150 1:5.6
prop: FSK 10x6

I think that a kit will be done but maybe in 2 or 3 years. It was on the list of M. Petri few months ago.

Regards. FLB

What? You fall in love with the monoplane from the movie "The Blue Max"?

I always did like the MS parasols. Sweet looking airplanes!

MS had many destictive designs. For modelers tired of P51s and hovering Edges, you can model just about any MS design and be a bit different.

MS seems to always look a little different from other airplanes, in a good way. Seems like on every model either the gear, wing shape, wing support or something is done in a unique way. For this reason modeler's get a lot of instant visual interest with MS models.

The 230 looks like a great candidate and I will follow this with interest.

Two of my other favorite MS designs are the A1 and 138

MS-A1/A29/A30 (all the same airframe, differing engines) is one of my personal favorites, as well. I would love to find a set of plans with about 50" span for my AXI 2820. Would make a good all-around bird.

I saw that the MS-230 plans, that you posted, were drawn by Harold Osbourne. I know a gentleman that knew Harold, and bought up most of Harold's designs from his estate. I will check with him, and see if he has this one.

I hunted up my Harold Osbourne plans source. The MS-230 plans are $27 PP folded and $31 pp rolled.
Below is the contact info:

kbkopy@worldnet.att.net

Ken Kehlet

Oklahoma City, OK. 73132

I have purchased Harold Osbourne plans from this gentleman and have had excellent service and the plans are of high quality.

Hi Motipete,

I don't know if you are still on that project but I asked the french Air & Space Museum in Paris for a 3 views of the Morane Saulnier MS 230. And they sent me one. Here is a reduced version. If you want a bigger one just send me an e-mail.

Regards. Frederic

I started to draw an MS A-1 for S600 and maybe a an indoor one also in 1/12. Sadly haven't gotten the pencil to them yet. I have only gotten as far as getting my outlines resized. I have another A-1 started in 1/4 as a E conversion from Tom Polapinks sport scale fuel power plans think he drew them about 1990 or 1991. As you may guess form my avatar I have a thing for this slightly offbeat but graceful WW I design. The MS 230 is definately a great subject. I will look forward to seeing it progress.
