They only came with a template for a DLE30.

But... here is the OS 33GT manual (dimensions are on page 27. The DLE 30 manual is here dimensions on page 23, and the DLE35RA manual is here, and again, the dimensions are on page 23.

Just as a matter of mentioning my young padawan..., all of these manuals were found by just typing in the name of the engine and "manual" in Google...found in mere seconds..

Thanks a lot Master !
i wish i could be "young" turning 40 in 2 weeks LOL
i was thinking that the drilling template is model related in the first place and engine afterwards... that's why i was looking for the Slick specific template... i do have both manuals (OS and DLE) but never go to page 23 nor 27

Thanks a lot !!!

I can't believe these are in stock, and Orange on top of that!
I thought they where done with the AJ line.
I'm so, so tempted to push that button, but I still have two I'm working on so I have to use my better judgement and pass.
Now that I have a great charging station, I want more 7X planes instead of 60's.

Did you get the electric or gas version?

I have the manual for the electric one and it says cg is: For maiden and precision flight - 155-160mm from leading edge of wing at root This is approximately the forward edge of the carbon wing spar tube.

I don't think there is a difference in the two as far as CG goes...

I have the 71 motor box in my 70 Leccy Slick since its stronger and the same. Go with how you like it on your 71.

For the combination Gas/Electric slick, what are you guys doing for cooling of the motor and batteries when doing electric? At the beginning of the motor box there is wood now for I'm assuming gas, this blocks air flow behind the esc and to the batteries. Are you cutting holes in it to get air flow? What panels in the bottom are you opening up with the tunnel there and all.

In my 5x" planes the former at the beginning of the motor box is open on the sides and there is no tunnel so the batteries, esc, and motor get tons of airflow with the panels cut open on the bottom. The 71 is different and I'm not sure how to attack cooling.

THanks,

Mike

I used a 5/8" "Forstner" bit and drilled two holes on each side of the motor box in the front former..

Thanks!

DId you do anything with the tunnel?

Are your vents cut out under the tunnel or back past the tunnel or maybe both?

I just did the holes, and then opened up a hole on the bottom of the fuselage as per instructions.
