Well she's all dressed up and ready to go
The cowl is all finished. I had to redo my choke set up. I cut an new front plate to screw into the front of the motor mount. I then laminated 2 pieces of lite ply to the front and back of my plywood choke rod guide. I drilled a hole in the choke rod guide for the choke rod and put a piece of plastic tubing in guide hole as a bushing for the choke rod.
I went with a T type to prevent rocking. I and epoxied the tee choke rod guide assembly to the front plate screwed to the front of the motor mount. Just to make it more secure I screwed a allen servo screw from the front mounting plate into the tee assembly.
I then took a piece of servo arm and threaded a black screw to it for a handle and screw the next hole onto the 440 choke rod.
I then glued sheet rock black screen to the back side of the card board completely covering and sealing the card board.

I glued a piece of velcro inside the air scoop on the bottom of the cowl. I then wrapped up my charge lead for the ign battery with velcro and then attached it to the velcro inside the air scoop.
I managed to use the fuel dot allready on the plane. I use a piece of brass tubing to join the fill lines from the tank and cowl. This aids in tank removal.

Well I took her for hger maiden yesterday.
They were forcasting an increase in wind speed out of the east.
So my buddy curtis and I loaded up ther mower and planes.
Curtis did not have a good day. It seems all his nitro stuff's batteries were dead.
I tried what I could to help him but we kept finding battery issues every time we solved 1.
But before we even tried his I mnaiden the Yak
By the time we were ready to fly the wind was out of the ESE about 70 degrees to the runway. It was very variable.
On my 2nd flight it was calm on take off then it came back up.
It finally changed to due east at 10 mph and gusting alittle more.

This is the 3rd flight.
I'm getting alittle more aggressive with the flat spins, ke,hammerheads, lomcevaks and even a few waterfalls.
My nerves in my hands and arms were shot though from mowing with a ZTR. I've been so use to a steering wheel that it didn't much mowing to wear my upper limbs down.
Anyways back to the 3rd flight, with out any futher a do

Yeah I was a bit suprized. That DLE 20 pulls it around fair but my throttle spool up leaves some to be desired.
She's only had 3 tanks through her is all and I'm running pretty heavy pn the oil at the moment.
Once the rest of the gas I mixed up is gone I'll switch to a 32/1 blend.

I'd say the power is pretty darn good with that much oil in the fuel. I started my DLE 35 on 32:1 and will switch to 40:1 synthetic pretty soon.
