Kp control line timer

I've been messing with the kpaero freeflight timer............. attempting a conversion for control line use.

The kp timer emulates an rx throttle outut to the esc. Adjustments are by pots which are intuitive and very user friendly.

Here's the how the 'hacked' timer works.

1) Plug in the battery .................. the speed controller arms and the LED turns on solid.

2) Press the push-switch............ the LED quick flashes for a time set by the 'DECAY' pot (40sec max) (The 'DECAY' pot has been reassigned from it's original f/f use). This 0 to 40 sec delay is to allow solo flying or with a pitman.

3) The LED stops flashing and the motor starts at a power setting (set by the 'SPEED' pot) for a time set by the 'TIME' pot (6min max).

4) The motor 'hiccups' a few seconds before the motor quits.

5) The LED slow flashes to remind you to disconnect the battery.

Any questions...............Any criticisms?......what do you think?

However, I've sent this control-line program to Derek at kpaero, as is. If there is any interest maybe he will add it to his range of timers?

Remember, it's available in the uk and it's very intuative and easy to use.

I just bought 2 timers for about 12.00 each that do the same exact thing you are trying to do,and they are ready to use from the package.

Derek at kpaero could supply this c/l timer as part of his product range............this means that it would be ready to use from the package.

The kp timers are built to aerospace quality and are bulletproof. I thought this c/l timer might have been of interest to uk modellers who want a simple to use timer?...............I personally have no financial interest in this whatsoever.

If you are interested, shoot Derek an email.
