I did use the EPS350C-CS plus prop EP1060 with 2S lipo flying my buddy's SS in last summer, this setup worked well for me. The setup you mentioned is more than enough in my idea.

At what altitude do you fly?

My airfields are at 3500' MSL. Density Altitude reaches 6000', in the summer.

The air is thin in the mountains, where I live, but my Slow Stick may perform better at sea level.

400 motor and gearbox may be over-powered at sea level. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Oh I forgot the altitude of the place where you live. Yes, I agree that the thinner air density makes it hard to float or fly well. Does it make you more qualified if you'd want to be a full size pilot ? I mean the need of oxygen mask at the altitude higher than 10,000 feet.
