Thanks

My thanks to Joe1320 for editing my raw footage and to a young man named Adrian for suppling the thumbs at the Joe Nall last spring. The aircraft is my Yak 54 UMX using v1 Beast electronics.

Sorry no plans at this time. However I will be happy to provide the complete kit for $25.00 + $5.00 shipping to the CONUS. The kit includes all laser cut 3mm Depron, laser cut ply firewall and control horns and all required carbon fiber bits. PM me for ordering info.

John's kits are first class. There is extra carbon bracing in strategic places, it flys like it's on rails and goes right where you point it. Use a UMX 3000 kV Stryker motor and it's even more powerful.

Right now I want to make a micro 3D airplane to fly in my house. I have a AR6400, mustang motor with gearbox, 1S lipos and 2 linear servos. The problem is the only type of depron I have is 6mm. That's too thick for a micro 3d foamy. I was thinking about maybe a 15in wingspan. What could I make to fly indoors for 3D?

How good are your fingers? A Dynamic Foamy Dynex 2.4 is about as light as you can go with that electronics. Me, I need about 40 by 40 by 15 feet to fly it. In a small space all you can really do is hover and move around a little in hover/harrier at that weight.

I can hover my homebuilt 3D pretty well, but it is too heavy to fly indoors (and doesn't fly straight, can't fly inverted). I was looking at the dynex, I could get that, its just that I have foam that I want to use. That'll be my Christmas present if I can't get a micro 3D plane built by then. Something like a Vapor with ailerons would do well.

If you want to cut your own, MITKID published plans here on rcgroups for a skeletonized YAK that flys very much like the Dynex. Similar weight as I remember. 4-site electronics with 3 mm skeletonized Depron frame.

Yak54 build thread

For those interested in my Yak54 UMX kit I just started a build thread here

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...7#post23335970

For those who have been following my Mig-29 progress the original build with graphics added came out at a whopping 180grs. While she flew at that weight her performance was a bit lackluster. She has gone back to the cad screen and been scaled down to 85% with a lot of the 6mm Depron being replaced with 3mm. The new build is well under way but I have hit a delay waiting for more plastic to make new thrust tubes.
