Hi Kevin,

I thought so.

Once you go Mac, you don't go back.

I'm still running my original first generation intel macbook that I was using bootcamp and XP for a couple of specific programs that were only windows based. And I can tell you that even back then xp ran flawlessly with the exception of needing a three button mouse instead of the std glide pad (it only has one button).

Go ahead and "drink the koolaid!!!" You'll wonder why you ever stuck with windows so long.

Cheers,

Steve

Just need to air this out, this is by far the nicest kit I have ever seen.Attention to detail is beyond, the plywood wing skins are laser marked for rib locations and alignment. Just a beautiful kit. Awesome

kevin
What type op Ca you recommend for the bonding the plywood wing skins ? Thin Ca ?

Thanks for that. Lots of work..........fun work.....

For the bottom skin, I tack with CA (thin) the entire structure, then I go over it all with Gap (medium). For the top skin, I use Slow, or epoxy. The thickest I can, and thinely applied. You only get a few minutes to apply and position, so having a plan for holding even pressure while curing is a must. This gives a really strong result, good for slope.

This wing builds more like the Z55, so if you can't wait, thats a good start. I'll be feeding CM pages here Starting Saturday, and hope to have it wrapped up by next Friday.

I have some very good Mac stories................also.......

Cheers,
Kevin

First of the CM files

Hi All,
Here are the first two pages. Can't say they are particularly useful, but they do represent the fact that I am on a roll reconstructing the data. Should do fine on getting a page out a day over the next week.

This new layout is formatted for Tabloid (wide format) printing, but it is fine at letter size. Its much easier to cruise through for laptops, as there is less page turning and centering. Just zoom to where you want, and scroll up/down, left/right.

Cheers,
Kevin

Fuse construction Page 1

Start of the Fuselage construction.

Note:
The first (5) kits were shipped without the indexing dowels. These are common round (2mm / 0.08in.) diameter Toothpicks cut in half.

Cheers,
Kevin

Your welcome Brett.

Almost there Richard. The current excuse (&*^%$#) is that I've had to scrape up ball links from several suppliers. Just got five sets in, and have another 50 sets on order from two other suppliers. Manufacturer is backordered all over the planet. Expect them in next week (fingers crossed). I'm sitting on the complete backlog of kits at the moment. Z55s are on hold also.

Cheers,
Kevin

Advise not to print until complete

I should point out that I sometimes backtrack on pages, so although printing as the pages are posted might be a waste of letter-sized paper and ink, printing in full tabloid is, well, you know.....more.....

So if you can, wait to print till sometime next week.

Cheers,
Kevin
