I am building a DUMAS 1/20 PT twin motors this time, (two SS-1 mounted mid-ship) with the prop shaft angle this places the motors high in the hull just under the deck, do not want to shorten the shafts, do not recall seeing any builds that have used two universals on each shaft to lower the center of gravity and get motors lower in hull, any one tried this with out any problems. I am familar with shaft aliment-motor to shaft from real world jobs +/- .002 run out.

In my 1:20 PT, I use intermediate shafts with half dogbones on each end (equivalent to two u-joints)... the motors sit low and far forward, and she runs smoothly.
I'll post pics of the actual shaft soon as I find them...
