Build Log
Raiders of the Lost Ark: Blom and Vos -38 AKA Horten BV-38

This plane is all over RCGroups but not in the right places IMHO.

Although it is an hypothetical aircraft from the famous movie 'Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark' it is supposed to be a warbird.

I always liked its shape and when I saw the release by ZETA science, I decided to give it a try.

Specs:

WS: 1225 mm
Length: 680mm
AUW: 750g
ESC: 30A
Motor: 2826 2350kv
Powered by: 2200mAh11.1v 3s

Unboxing

Nice double box.

Every piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap bags and one box of accessories completes the set.

Cool! Are you gonna have differential thrust so you can do donuts and chase Indy around.

What's the Wing Span?

My first surprise: It's pitch black! Or maybe deep blue?

Assembly

The parts are not many. It was not so difficult to put it together.

The manual is brief and well done.

Preparing to build it

Some preparation is needed to start building it, since it has been thoroughly painted all over.

The final touches

I think the build is too fast or I write too little.

Finished

It's not 100% accurate.
It's totally black (or super duper dark blue)
Some gaps on the seams.

But it looks cool and unique.

Next Saturday maiden!
