Also looking for an onroad drift spec 1/10 electric car. I have two questions:

1. What is the general opinion about Team Magic? Are they good?
2. Would the extra cost for an Xray T3 be justified by quality and durability?

Never heard of team magic, but the t3 is well worth the money. Although you definately can get some for cheaper that do the exact same for drifting. Look for the new 3racing sakura cs kit.

the 3racing sakura looks like a very interesting idea. I would like to find some reviews however, to see about the build quality and the materials strength.

I beleive r2hobbies has a new one with most aluminum peices already on it for around 150.00 i think. i got the tamiya cuz i wanted to make it as real as posible and comes with leds and all you need to complete it is your own tx/rx and battery wich i already had all of that but all the plastic crap kinda sucks.. Ive already done the factory body and also got a silvia s15 body and another on the way cuz the first one they sent was the wrong one but i can post pics tonight if anyone wants to see them..

Metal parts are overrated... plastic arms drift just as well as metal ones, and won't stay bent if you hit something.
