Hubsan H101D/H102D/H201D/H202D

Hi,

I am a owner of the FPV bird

http://www.helipal.com/hubsan-h102d-...24jmeqiqgnnu31

I find it's a very good and easy bird.... and I am surprised that any topic was opened on this bird. Any other owners around ?

Hi,

Today I played with the AV output of the remote control with vrx included. With a simple wire jack to RCA cinch, I was wable to plug thr vrx into an easycap module. I grabbed the video flux in NTSC format .... I did a small video where I compare video recorded directly onboard in 720p versus the live video grabbed via easycap.

Hubsan invader H102D FPV (1 min 9 sec)

Quality of grabbed video is still ok. It means that any video googles accepting PAL/NTSC can output the video signal of the vrx of any Hubsan FPV.

I also made a movie of all the setup to ouput signal on TV

Welcome to the club and share your impressions. Maybe you will need to trim it a bit, but it's a good bird

flies amazing.haven't done trim cuz it has the case of the lynx
But I would like to trim it! will see if I tear it down
do you happen to know how to adjust the camera? is it suppose to be loose or fixed? It wobbles & vibrates the video. is there a high res option? the video doesn't look hd. besides that, the battery upgrade is gonna be a bitch!

The video support can a little bit shift to point more bottom that's all so it's more or less fixed. Yes there is some jello but it's normal with such cheaps heli. In fact there is no not so much vibrations. The helicopter is vibrating and transmits his vibrations to the camera support. The camera support is attached by the landing skirt and one screw which allows to shift camera support along the main axis of the heli. Maybe to install some small caoutchouch could help a little to stop jello.

The recording on SD is in 720p so it's already not bad while FPV is in NTSC for mine (maybe PAL in other models).

Have a look to this forum about the Hubsan. I wrote their some basics mods (sorry it's in french but with a lot of photos self-explaning)

Am thinking of getting the H102D FPV system with my next paycheck, but am wondering if it is possible to get a longer lasting battery to use with these? I'd ideally like something closer to 15 minutes flying time.

Or would I be better off looking at something else? I know there are the close to $1K quadcopter models that you can add a GoPro to, but was hoping to start with something a little less expensive to get comfortable with first.

15 mn of flight is almost impossible to have, but a longer one for sure... close to 10mn with the eachine 1000mah 2S Lipo available at Banggood. This model fit into the battery bay.

I've seen some 2000mah lipos out there. If the battery is a little larger (but not much heavier) is it possible to tape it in? Suppose voltage is an issue too - any idea what range is acceptable?

Just found a 1300 mah that appears to be similar to the 1000mah:
1300mAh 2S 7.4V 20C Li-Po Battery
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A2OEG1SKNGURE1

Would that work?

Thanks again for the help!
