Haven't opened my UMX T-28 but my guess is a 6mm motor won't fit in the geared motor housing and it may not have the correct pinion gear. Plus I'd guess the thrust would be unsatisfactory. I'd use the 6mm in a micro scratch plane and get an 8.5mm motor.

The UM SportCubS motor is $10.99 at a LHS selling Horizon product (and would be a nice upgrade) but the life span has really been very variable. Personally, I'd probably try a MicroMotorWarehouse motor like I think was suggested above.

For the MM motors you will need a brick from a RADIAN or SPORTS CUB S or PT 17. The ESC need to bee more powerfull, and a better battery.

There should be a warning about those 8MM motors for planes as well as for other applications. The FC board on a nanoQX will not handle the draw from those motors either - and there are 4 of them!
