Dilemma: To Retract or not...

Hi all

I just acquire a 3M Duo Discus yesterday. My buddy gave me his retract after his mishap and I'm in a dilemma. If I put in the retract, it took up all the precious space for proper balancing.

Then I read some where you need to provide separate batt pack for the retract in case a binding?

If no retract, then I wasted the scale look of that 3M bird, plus landing spot need to be selective.

Darn!

Hi Andy

After I measured the weight(the retract is 4 oz without the mounting parts ie woods, epoxy, servo, screws etc.) it will come to 8-9oz, decided not to go for it. I will do the next terrible thing....

I will cut landing gate a hole and install a permanent wheel with some aluminium L bracket. It should some to no more than 4 oz total. No need to worry about anything except it ain't no scale.
