Yeah right my Trojan has a Power-10 and the Mustang you flew is WAY faster. You may want to hold on to what youve got in there.

I will not be able to make it to Elk Grove this week.

Why dont we arrange for next Sunday?

hmmm i dunno, im only running the park 480 1020kv. by all rights the power 10 should put that to shame! i think the trojan just has alot to overcome with that flat nose on it. btw, i think im going to hold off on getting another trojan, at least until i see that new PZ Extra in stock!

what a hobby... so much cool , so little money...

I think it is pretty much off limits to fly at an airport. MCClellan is still an active airport.

I think you are right.

Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento
is still active at MC CLELLAN, with
some HC-130 "Hercules" aircrafts.
It is located at the north end of McClellan Air Force Base.

Looks like I may be by myself then, I have a new Stryker to maiden (same components, new body).

This Sunday at 1:00pm I will definately be out there at Grant Line. FishRfly or anyone else reading the thread want to RSVP?

Sac Flying spots I enjoy

Just found you guys here, and i might have met some of you; i'm not sure.

Heres some places you might already know about that i also enjoy too.

Oh yeah Ive flown out at the area you shared (on Del Paso) by safeway too. For me, it was better to come up and park in the cul de sac at Inderkum High School to the east of there and fly. You got a great runway area in that cul-de sac and ok belly landings in the grass. Kinda dirt cloddy though.

2/ where is the runway in the map?

  1. Yes
  2. Runways are assorted. I used the dirt road there, and the paved walkway North of the cul de sac, and the street (circled). But that area is busier now
  3. Grass is questionable. That area is dirt cloddy.

  4. Weekends. School and cars are plenty during the week there.

too bad im out of town this weekend... just dropped a power10 in the mustang, 450 watts on a 9.5x7.5 (trojan) prop Vs. 300 watts on the 480 with 10x8 APC.

If you want to land on grass try that park off Danbrook. Look how many soccer fields there are. I never had more fun than float flying at the V-shaped lake here, and parkflying at this particular park in Natomas. Just try it once. Stand in the red circle (diagram in picture) and you'll be hooked. HOOKED!!
