Double horse 9053 TX

Hi there, can anyone tell me if the 27.145 frequency is am or fm on this chopper?

I have a 4 chanel e sky transmitter which I would rather use, is it simple to just put the 27 MHz crystal in and fly the 9053?

Thanks

Likely same as my DH9104. ON/OFF carrier modulation, guess you could call it AM. Proper name I suppose is continuous wave.

The receiver is super-regenerative (super-regen) and does not have a crystal. It has a tuned front end feeding what looks like a common base transistor pre-amplifier. Actually works very well considering the simplicity.

The ESky transmitter would have to be on the 27MHz band and if it is ON/OFF keyed carrier, then just a matter of re-tuning the receiver coil at the antenna wire on the helicopter.

However, the DH9053 likely also transmits control information by 4 channels, in 6 bit binary with a parity bit.. ESky transmitter not likely to work. I wouldn't even try.
