You must chase that thing with a Sopwith Camel. Start building now!
Great looking Gotha.
I imagine it's a strictly 'minimal breeze' flyer.

Incredible.

Can we get some specs on the beast? Wingspan, weight, components, etc.

And, of course, we'd all love to see a video.

Hi

I dont think there is a build log available.I think it was built about 2 years ago.The artwork is done on the plans designed on the computer and then this is printed onto white depron. He then cuts this print on the depron out and forms it into shape around paper cores which are heated up in the oven.
With all respect, it is something fantastic to see this guy build his planes. He is a master builder.

Thanks for posting Jab. This thread will be a good end point to the those annoying balsa vs foam threads.

How Is it Done?

Dear Jab,

Can you please tell us more about how your friend prints the CAD plans he prepares himself directly onto the white depron.

I would really love to know how he does that.

Photos of this method/ process and the equipment he uses will be greatly appreciated.

MM

Hi guys. jab phoned me to ask if I can answer some of the questions. I make my drawings on CorelDraw X3. It is rare, but some commercial sign businesses have something called a "flat bed printer" . This is a machine that can print on any thickness material. With this method you save a lot of weight and have a very accurate model.... The trick is to build it WITHOUT damaging the printed surface. But I have hade some of my designs printed on Digital vinyl ,Stick that onto the depron, then build. I usually first design a paper model and buil a glider to test the design, then I do the Expensive Large scale printing. Gotha specks.
1.4m WS, 900mm Length, weight is about 700g. I used 2X e-sky 1500 KV engines with 2X 20A esc. Both run off a 1300 3s 20c Lipo and I get about 10 Mins flying.
