That setup will work great on either 3s or 4s

here is what is used to upgrade my nose , I had to drill out the mounting bracket and the control arm, I used a 3.1 mm drill bit, the wire on this nose gear is 2.9mm thick, I have not flow with the new nose gear on yet but it is a lot stronger then the stock one.

Nice concept, If anything , my 480's are habitual prop eaters. Existing nose gear leaves a black mark on fuse belly after a hard landing! When the nose wheel is rubbing the belly, there isn't much prop clearance.

Flew mine for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm just getting it dialed in, balance and dual rates and so forth. It flies "light" and slows down real nice for landings. This is the perfect plane for me and my current flying skills.

I WAS using a 2814/6 on 3 cells with a 8x6 but it was a tad anemic so I switched to a 2814/8, 3 cells spinning an 11x8.5 for about 360 watts but it was still a bit anemic. A 14x7 would give me 475 watts on that setup but of course, there's not enough ground clearance! I have some .40 gasser nose gear parts so I'll try the mod you guys did. I put bigger wheels on mine too.

I have some nice 40C 4 cells that paired with a 9x6 would produce 465 watts through the 2814/8. I'm looking for that high powered, tuned pipe, old school pattern feel with this one.

I would LOVE to get another one of these but my gosh I already have 41 other planes, only 10 of which I've flown yet!
