New Product
New plane that I'm NOT buying

New but not something I'm going to buy myself. Anyone else?

Yea I am uninspired by this one... looks like a redesigned and far more expensive Typhoon.

Aside from profile foams, I like my 3d ships to be made from wood- wood planes feel much more precise to me

what are they thinking about with their pricing that is insane for a foamy. You could almost build the balsa Twist for the same price.

This is probably the first large sized plane with as3x as well and the molded vortex generators are an interesting touch

I feel PZ and EFlight pretty much charge whatever they want; it does not always make sense,

They have such a loyal and die-hard following that will buy whatever comes out next. With as3x, it justifies the price to those in the PZ fan club... but not for me.

That is nuts Rather just buy a quad with Naza! than put a gyro on a plane. Plus that is very expensive. Plus it looks as though it is only Spektrum dsmx etc. Not sure why they want to limit themselves to one Band!

It's probably because they are not willing to separate the AS3x from the receiver. Limiting for sure.

Better bet would be to get a balsa ARF and put the Eagle tree on it if you want stabilization and then whatever receiver you wanted. Let's see, equivalent but better:

ARF : $100
EagleTree + receiver: $100
Servos/motor/ESC: $100

You get to the same price even going kinda cheap on the servos but have a better and more versatile result.

I say the same thing about Peter Pan peanut butter... it's the best, why eat anything else. And just like Spektrum, they've both had recalls!

Chalk this one up for another plane I have no interest in (despite my love for the P-40):

is that for Horizon Hobby Haters?

... dont get me wrong, I LOVE Hangar-9 (and Seagull despite not having flown one). I am just not interested in another almost-high performance, overpriced foamie.

I have had three H9 ships and LOVE each one (one is still in my hangar- the giant cub). H9 quality is top of the heap, and I find most of their offerings you get what you pay for. I had the H9 Hellcat and two Sundowner 50 ships, and would absolutely buy more from them.

And it doesnt need to be reiterated, but we all know their support is second to none. It might be a surprise to hear, but I have also had great luck with both JR and Spektrum servos, E-flite motors, and HH covering materials and tools...

But I will be the first to tell ya (and may be the most vocal) that I do not support their radios.

What are everyone's thoughts on the following pics?
Was this rushed through development?
Do you think this looks good, or do you think they lowered the standard set by the UM Spit and UM Beast?

IMO the guns look soooo sloppy, poorly molded and pathetic on the P-40... I think it would look infinitely better with plastic molded guns like the Spit.
