Axi 2208/20 with 25, 26 or 27T pinion does fantastic on the H2 for 3D. Pinion size should depend on the current your batts can supply and your flying style. I use the 25 and 26T

The MS Twister motor (by MS Composit) is proving to have brute force power on a Apogee 1050 or a thunder Power 1200. The MS Twister (Part #MS-011) comes with its own pinion gear and all mounting hardware. You do have to modify your frame work to get the larger pinion to fit in the frame. But, its not all that hard to do, and well worth the effort.

Falcon, I tested the 2025 and it is an amp hog and also doesnt have near the power of the axi or twister.

Ozzie, I am using robinson racing products pinions made for RC cars. They are 1/8 shaft and 64 pitch just like the H2 gear. The larger pinions run ultra smooth on the H2

Decrease your top end pitch meatbomber. Do the same for bottom end pitch for inverted. You should be OK doing that.

Currently my pitch range is all the way down and up on the 2 steel pins... now i have a Futaba FX-18 and currently run 40% for collective pitch and 60% for nick and roll in the swash plate programm HR3 all without binding...

would you now recommend just making the pitch values smaller on the pitch curve or reduce the pitch percentage in the swash mixer ? (do you know what i mean?)

my pitch range does not use the full length of those two pins and i still get -10 - +10degs.

As for your question...that's a good one, i would like to know the same. I use the full pitch curve and lower the percentage in the mixing option...I'm curious if that's the best way. As I run governor mode, it probably doesn't make much difference.

Yeah meatbomber. Just reduce your overall pitch range (ATV's) until it no no longer bogs down at the extremes of pitch either upright or inverted. No need to change pitch curve. In fact run your pitch curve totally linear as below:

0 - 25 - 50 - 75 - 100

Adjust head speed with your throttle curve. Not your pitch curve. That way you will get a much smoother transition of collective pitch changes while flying.

Falcon, here is a video of my H2 with the 2025 4200 and a 850 Tanic 3 cell battery pack. It can do 3d but has no where near the pop of my axi powered H2.

Hope this helps
