A 35T motor would be fine for a scale truck. If you go up in turns, you will gain more torque and lose top speed.

Most scaler guys run between 27t and 35t. More leaning to th 35t end.

there is more to it than just the motor turns. you would also need to look at the gearing (pinion and spur), the overall truck weight, and the type of motor your buying. not all motors are created equal.

just as an example you could get a holmes hobbies 35t torquemaster and have good speed and crawl pretty well, or you could use a 16t crawlmaster and get even better crawling and more speed.

on the other hand, you could run a 35t and gear it down where it's slow but crawls very well, or gear it up and it will be very fast but not crawl very well.

the higher the gearing usually the hotter the motor will run. what truck are you putting the motor in??
