It just stopped and fell out of the sky. It appears dead as a dodo. What has happened? Any ideas would help cos I'm baffled. I was just flying around my front room when it just stopped and fell from the sky???

could be anything from chuck norris to the joker, you need to provide way more detail. Just use common sense, wind, acting funny beforehand, when it hit the ground were there obvious signs of breaks etc. ???

Any previous issues or symptoms noted?

When you plug in a different, fully charged battery does it turn on? Does one of the servos go to maximum travel and stay there?

More info would be helpful.

No indications at all. It just stopped. When I put a new charged battery in there is nothing. No servo movement no anything. I've crashed it a bit but not this morning. This was my 2 nd battery this morning. Just practising hovering and landing on things. Very weird

I think I would notice a big bearded ginger dood karate kicking my chopper out of the sky. But you never know. :-)

The red wire from the battery has come off the board

Red wire to board is very easy to solder. Any Heli flyer who avoids soldering will have bad time as most common problem. I went to those low dollar general merchadise stores and bought $1.50 soldering iron and solder .99 small unit. Works very well and like it better than my Black & Decker rig. Any electrical supply store has these. Also soldering stand with arms give you an easy fix, but your call. Good feeling when you fix your bird for pennies and it flys again.

I'm going to have to learn to solder things I can't see.
dankar04 - there is nothing in NZ available for $1.50 - taking a piss costs you more than that. For example a V911 costs $100 here..
A big magnifying glass and a very small soldering iron is on my ever growing 'list' of things i 'need'.

My eyes are what they once were either, but I have one of those cheap magnifying lamps. That and an optional set of helping hands (with its own magnifier) to hold critical items have helped me solder the small stuff -- and I am no expert by any means.

I'd also recommend some good tweezers to help you hold the small wires as you move them into place for soldering.

Buying the lamp ($25-$40 US), helping hands (<$10 at Harbor Freight), and a cheap Radio Shack 15W soldering iron (<$10US) pay for themselves in a hurry. If you have someone else do the work, the labor cost alone should pay for all of the above.

The PCB in my S107G crapped out and I paid $8 for a replacement board and did the work myself. A lot cheaper than $45 replacement copter at the LHS or even $25 shipped from Amazon.

Your mileage may vary, but then again I enjoy the tinkering.
