29th ANNUAL CASA MEMORIAL OPEN - Warrenton VA
10 & 11 September 2011. This is the ESL’s don’t miss contest. Come on out and fly with the East Coast’s best. The info is at http://www.soarcasa.org/ under events.
Unlimited Duration (Expert, Sportflyer & Novice), MAN-ON-MAN (random before lunch and seeded after) with tasks to be announced at pilot's meeting, probably 10 minutes unless the conditions are really bad. Graduated landing tapes. There will also be an Unlimited RES class without trophies, flying in your own group(s). If you sigh up and want to fly RES drop me a note. Friday afternoon flying will be allowed. This is my hometown field, so I will definitely be there. The field is big, with about 3/4 mile between the north and south tree lines. Good flying, good friends, and good food. What's not to like?

Two things:
First, Novice sailplane pilots can enter their RES sailplane and compete only against other novices. And the best part is - the entry fee for Novice RES is …. Free. If you need help, just ask and “it will be so.”  Second: This field is perfect for the LSF 1 K goal and return. Best time would be Friday afternoon and again Sunday after last flight - probably ~ 3 PM. If you need help, just ask and “it will be so.”

For those that did not attend you missed 9 rounds of 10 minute on Saturday and 7 rounds on Sunday. Nice temps, plenty of thermals great hospitality.
