Not particularly a new design! Motion has had one out for awhile now,Taft is supposed to have one coming.. I even started one back in Dec 2012- then I had a stroke, which has slowed things down a bit- Mine is L=62". WS =52" , JF90 on 12s, 120Hv ESC, , and Spring Air retracts, Robart strtuts.

The full glass intake ducting has taken more time than I hoped for. Plugs have been done for awhile--I just no AIR SALLY!

For those who don't know, the original plane was built by Aviation Design.

I don't know about an Eagle tree yet, but I was thinking on getting a FrSky Taranis Plus - Transmitter-- could that be any worse?..

But I am making progress. slowly . sure not like XP -PRO for sure.

Just a quick question, are you a development branch under HSD or a separate company that works with HSD?
My recommendation would be this: if the aircraft runs on a 6-cell setup, I would recommend a higher amp esc for safety.
Another (small) idea is to include a wire lead that would allow for two 3-cell LiPos to be connected in series if a majority of pilots want to do that.
Good luck in the development, she looks sweet.
P.S: I wouldn't mind being a test pilot, it would be a break of sanity from the college life of aerospace engineering.

The big question: who will be the first American test pilot?
And a bigger question, will THIS get a turbine?

We might make one similar to our Super Viper size, but I don't think we'd put a turbine.

There isn't anything super about this one or the one from Motion--Motions at best should be called mini..or even the Taft one.
The Aviation Design, E-Scorpion is L=59" , /ws = 49" , there mini scorpion is WINGSPAN : 975 mm (39")...LENGTH : 1150 mm (45"), Now if you want a true Super scorpion-- you need to this baby--
SUPER SCORPION ARF : for 14 to 18 kg (31 - 40 lbs.) thrust jet engine

WINGSPAN : 2.16 m (85")
LENGTH : 2.58 m (101")
WEIGHT WITH TURBINE : 17-18 Kg (38-40 lbs)

So don't try and BS some of us who know the difference.
I've been researching the E-Scorpion since Dec 2012 --trust me I know the difference..

Don't believe me?? Go to there site-- not so easy to navigate but it's all there.
http://adjets.com/

Just quite calling it something it isn't!
